Tiiva’s newest release continues their trend of crafting wonderfully melodic, atmospheric pieces of electronic music. ‘Bones’ starts off as a soft, subtle track that allows Tiiva’s voice to permeate layers of crunchy, percussive synth sounds, before bursting into a layered pop hook. Tiiva describes the track as being: “about the fragility of how we see ourselves, the perception of what is beautiful. Society tells us we have to be a certain shape, look a certain way, a mirror that is held up where no one easily matches to those expectations.” Their experimental approach to pop music is reflective, cathartic and nostalgic, without being short of amazing musicality. -Dan Peeke
